Housing Staff

All housing staff play integral roles within the vibrant House System at Epsom College. Each Senior School student, whether day or boarding, becomes a member of a House, which serves as a second family—a close-knit community where students learn, grow, and forge lifelong bonds.

More than mere buildings, our Houses embody the essence of home, where students find belonging among friends, peers, and dedicated staff members. With over 90% of staff residing on campus with their families, Epsom fosters a unique family-like atmosphere, enriching the College experience with a sense of shared community and care.

Fostering Community

Led by a Housemaster/Housemistress (HMM), supported by an Assistant HMM, Resident Tutor, House Matron/Steward, and visiting Tutors, housing staff provide academic and pastoral support. They guide students through the challenges of adolescence, fostering confidence and self-assurance.

House staff oversee students’ schedules, organise activities, supervise evenings, and facilitate Prefect training and House Councils. The strong sense of family within the House system significantly contributes to the wellbeing and success of every student, leaving a lasting impact beyond their school years.
